POLLAK WILL OPEN CERTIFIED PRE-OWNED AUTOMOTIVE CONFERENCE

POLLAK WILL OPEN CERTIFIED PRE-OWNED AUTOMOTIVE CONFERENCE

DETROIT -- Dale Pollak, the founder of vAuto and author of a best-selling
book on major used-car market trends, will be the kick-off speaker at
AutomotiveRemarketing's CPO Forum to be held April 7-8 at the Ritz Carlton
Hotel in Dearborn, Michigan.

Released in January, Pollak's new book, "Velocity: From the Front Line to
the Bottom Line," already has jumped onto Amazon.com's top-10 list of
best-selling reference books. It challenges common assumptions about today's
used-car market and is considered a "must read" for the auto industry's more
than 70,000 franchised and independent dealers.

A high-tech entrepreneur, used-car authority and former dealer, Pollak
believes that used-vehicle buyers are ahead of the game in today's
marketplace.

"Consumers are no longer the losers when it comes to buying a used car or
light truck," Pollak notes. "The new losers are dealers who have failed to
understand the dynamics of today's Internet-driven market."

More than 200 dealers, used-car sales managers and industry experts from
throughout the United States are expected to attend the two-day conference
focused on certified used-car sales. Speakers include representatives from
Cars.com, Experian Automotive and JD Power, as well as award-winning dealers
such as Brian Benstock of Paragon Honda in Woodside, New York.

"Identifying & Finding the Right Vehicles for Your Market & CPO Inventory"
will be the title of Pollak's CPO Forum presentation.

"Most dealerships still operate from a decades-old play book when managing
their used- car business," Pollak says. "They need to adopt a more
disciplined, investment-minded approach."

The market for used vehicles is becoming a commodities market thanks to
Internet-savvy shoppers. "Buyers have a multitude of choices and prices are
easy to find," Pollak explains. "Vehicles aren't as unique as they used to
be, no matter what some dealers would like to believe."

Pollak warns that a "perfect storm" is brewing in the used-car business. The
good news, however, is that dealers and automakers can level the used-car
playing field with a new-found ability to obtain accurate used-car
supply-and-demand information for specific markets and regions.

Pollak's company, vAuto, is now the auto industry's fastest-growing provider
of Internet-based used-vehicle inventory management systems. During the
recent National Automobile Dealers Association's (NADA) convention in San
Francisco, vAuto's booth attracted more than 1,000 visitors per day.

Five out of the nation's six highest-volume franchised dealerships by brand,
including Ford, Honda, Nissan, Lincoln-Mercury and Toyota, use pricing and
appraisal strategies supported by vAuto software solutions. Virtually every
imported and domestic vehicle brand also is represented within vAuto's
customer list, including Acura, Audi, BMW, Hyundai, Infinity, Kia, Lexus,
Mercedes and Porsche, as well as all Chrysler and General Motors brands.

Pollak's company provides the auto industry's only "live" analysis of
used-vehicle markets, supplying dealerships with up-to-the-minute
information about used-vehicle supply, demand and pricing in their specific
markets. Headquartered in the Chicago suburb of Oakbrook Terrace, the
company also maintains a research and development center in Austin, Texas.
