ST. GEORGE, Utah--Wilson Electronics is introducing at CTIA 2008 in Las Vegas the latest in its industry-leading line of cellular signal improvement products: the SignalBoost Mini-Amp Kit. Designed for use in cars, trucks, RVs, and other vehicles, this plug-and-play kit reduces dropped calls, extends signal range, and increases data rates for all Cellular and PCS carriers. It supports multiple cell phones and cellular data cards simultaneously, is simple to install, and can be moved easily between vehicles.
At the heart of the SignalBoost Mini-Amp Kit is Wilson’s newest cellular booster, a sleek, lightweight amplifier with up to 6 times more power than a typical cell phone. The Mini-Amp may be installed under a vehicle seat, on the console, or on the dashboard. The unit is comprised of two internal amplifiers – one boosts incoming signals from the cell site and the other amplifies signals going to the site. A magnet-base antenna attaches to the roof and communicates with the cell site, and Wilson’s new Cell Phone Cradle Plus completes the system. The Cradle Plus features a built-in antenna that re-broadcasts the amplified signal inside the vehicle. It also provides a convenient location for the cell phone and works with any hands-free device including BluetoothTM products and earbuds.
Wilson’s exclusive technology, developed from years of research, ensures cell signal purity and cell site protection necessary for maintaining the integrity of carrier networks. Compared to other products, the Wilson SignalBoost Mini-Amp Kit offers superior dropped call reduction and significant improvement in size, convenience and affordability.
