Lex has a vast experience in the international financial business arena and this experience will prove crucial for the expansion of Spyker in the years to come. I take the opportunity to thank Klaas cordially for his relentless support and tenacity in the past year, and welcome Lex to the Company."
In addition, Victor Muller said: "I am also very pleased to announce the appointment of Frans Liebregts. Frans has been involved with Spyker from the start of business in 2000. He joined the Supervisory Board as an automotive production expert when we went public in 2004 and, as a consequence, he is completely familiar with the operational side of our business. With the intended growth and the start of production of the Spyker C8 Aileron (Long Wheel Base with automatic gearbox) in Q3 2008 and the Spyker D8 Peking-to-Paris in 2009, the organisation requires the vast experience and expertise, particularly in production, which Frans brings to the table.”
Commenting on the composition of the Management Team, Victor Muller added: “With Wicher Kist as Chief Technology Officer the final vacancy to be filled is that of Chief Commercial Officer. We are currently in discussions with a number of potential candidates and expect to announce an appointment before summer. Once that position has been taken, our Management Team will be ready to face the challenges of Spyker’s controlled expansion with great confidence.”
