TOYOTA NASCAR Nationwide Series (NNS) Race Notes & Quotes

Two Camry drivers finished among the top-10 with Denny Hamlin (seventh) and David Reutimann (ninth). Jason Leffler (13th), Kyle Busch (16th) and Mike Wallace (20th) also had top-20 finishes. Busch earned the seventh pole for the Toyota Camry in NASCAR Nationwide Series (NNS) competition and third this season. Tony Stewart (Daytona) and Brian Vickers (Las Vegas) have also earned the pole position this year. Busch led 125 of 225 laps in today's event at Nashville Superspeedway for a total of 345 laps this season -- the most for any NNS driver this year.

DENNY HAMLIN, No. 32 Dollar General Toyota Camry, Braun Racing Finished: 7th How was your race today? "We had a good car -- we definitely had a better car than seventh place but just got killed on pit road. We had to go to the back there with 40 or 50 to go and you just can't do that in these races and get a good finish. We were able to save a little bit of fuel right there at the end and we're taking them one step at a time."

What's your next Nationwide race with Braun Racing? "Looks like we're going to do Talladega. Other than that (I'm) going to take it easy."

DAVID REUTIMANN, No. 99 Aaron's Dream Machine Toyota Camry, Michael Waltrip Racing Finished: 9th What role did fuel mileage play in today's race? "I don't know why we couldn't go farther. That was the kind of fuel mileage we're getting. If you're a lap or two shy you can gamble, but you can't when you're eight laps. We'll go back and figure out why that is and why the other guys are making it. Everybody on the Aaron's Dream Machine did a great job and I'm really proud of all my guys. The guys at Toyota Racing Development, I know they'll go back and they'll look at it and they'll get me some fuel mileage. I have all the confidence in the world in that. Today, we just didn't have it when it counted. I'm really disappointed."

How much did those finishing positions cost you in the points chase? "It's huge -- you're just giving them away. You're running third and we might could have got Clint Bowyer (second-place), we were right there it would have been hard to get him but at least we had the opportunity to. Then, you have to come down at that point and you give it all away. We didn't have a choice. We couldn't stretch it eight laps. Again, Toyota Racing Development does a phenomenal job, their motors make great horsepower and they'll get me some fuel mileage, I know they will. I love those guys. I'm just disappointed, that's all -- I'm not aggravated at anybody."

JASON LEFFLER, No. 38 Great Clips Toyota Camry, Braun Racing Finished: 13th You were making a charge for the front of the field, what happened? "It was a good run today for the Great Clips team, but fuel mileage bit us in the end. We were five laps short. We had a top-10 car but came home 13th. It's obviously disappointing but we will come back in a few weeks to go for the win in Texas."

KYLE BUSCH, No. 20 Z-Line Designs Toyota Camry, Joe Gibbs Racing Finished: 16th Why'd you spin on the track as the race leader? "It was just driver error. I just messed up and lost it. I'm sure it's going to bother me all week. Z-Line Designs and all these guys on the Nationwide Series side should be proud of the car they had. We'll come back with the 18 car at Texas and try to finish one of these things off."
