TODD DEFEATED IN GATORNATIONALS FIRST ROUND

GAINESVILLE, Fl. (March 16) – J.R. Todd didn’t fare as well as he had hoped in the first round of eliminations at the 39th annual ACDelco Gatornationals at the Gainesville Raceway when he lost traction early on his run and lost to Tony Schumacher.

Todd had a slight edge on the starting line (.081 – 083), but success didn’t come his way coasting to the finish line with an elapsed time of 9.647 seconds, 87.91 mph to Schumacher’s winning time of 4.612 seconds, 314.02 mph.

In the NHRA POWERade Top Fuel standings, Todd is in the No. 11 slot with 98 points after the completion of three NHRA National events.

The next NHRA National event will be in two weeks for the running of the 21st annual O’Reilly Spring Nationals at Houston Raceway Park on March 28 – 30.
