ROCKINGHAM, N.C. (March 5, 2008) - Have you ever wondered what it would be
like to put on a driving suit, HANS Device and helmet and strap into a
racecar and pull off for the pace laps of a major stock car race? Thanks to
the partnership of The Rockingham Speedway and the United Way of Richmond
County you may have that chance.

On May 4th, 2008 when the 50-car ARCA RE/MAX Series field pulls off of pit
road for the Carolina 500, the 51st starting position will be reserved for
the United Way ARCA Car - a special two-seat Fast Track High Performance
Driving School car.

In the passenger seat will be the winner of a charity auction with 100% of
the proceeds going to the United Way of Richmond County. The United Way car
will pull off from pit road along with the rest of the field and follow them
throughout the pace laps and pull back into the pit area at "one-to-go."

The winner will also be announced during driver introductions - as the 51st
starter! Additionally the winner will participate in pre-race activities,
the drivers meeting and will receive two passes to watch the race from a
track suite.

This unique promotion is a result of the United Way of Richmond County being
named the official charity of the Rockingham Speedway.

"United Way of Richmond County is an integral part of the local community
and the Rockingham Speedway aspires to be as well," said Speedway President,
Andy Hillenburg. "They support 18 local agencies so we felt they were a
natural fit for us to be associated with."

The 18 agencies that the United Way supports are: Sandhills Children Center,
Roberdel Children's Center, Richmond County 4-H Clubs, Boy Scouts, Girl

Scouts, Rockingham Recreation, Leak Street Alumni, American Red Cross, New

Horizons, Richmond County Crisis Ministries, Rockingham Soup Kitchen, Hamlet
Soup Kitchen, Richmond County Mental Health, Richmond County Aging Services,
Samaritan Colony, Richmond County Literacy Council, Richmond County
Christian Counseling, Ellerbe and Rockingham Rescue Squads.

"We are very excited about partnering with Andy Hillenburg and the
Rockingham Speedway," said Michelle Parrish, Executive Director of the
United Way of Richmond County. "It is a great opportunity for the United Way
of Richmond County to be a part of the racing community. We are very glad to
be uniting the Rockingham Speedway and the United Way of Richmond County
back into the local community."

Fans wishing to bid on this incredible opportunity can do so by e-mailing
their bids to either the United Way or the Rockingham Speedway -

51promotion@rockinghamracewaypark.com or
