* This Week’s Camping World Chevrolet at Las Vegas Motor Speedway … Clint Bowyer will pilot Chassis No. 079 from the Richard Childress Racing (RCR) NASCAR Nationwide Series (NNS) stable. This is a brand new Camping World Chevrolet Bowyer and his Dan Deeringhoff-led team tested at Las Vegas Motor Speedway (LVMS) Jan. 30 – 31. * And Now, a Word From Our Sponsor … For the second consecutive week, Bowyer’s No. 2 Chevrolet will showcase a blue and gold Camping World paint scheme. Camping World offers over 8,000 quality products geared towards the RVing community, through 65 nationwide SuperCenters, a well-established catalog call center and an award-winning Web site. Camping World is the industry leader in RV accessories and services. In addition to RVs, Camping World provides its customers with high-quality products and services to help enhance their life on the road. BB&T, the No. 2 machine’s traditional sponsor, will be featured on the car’s lower rear quarter panels. Bowyer will drive the Camping World Chevy in 10 NNS races this season. BB&T will be Bowyer’s primary sponsor for the remaining 25 races on the 2008 schedule as he pursues the NNS title. * In a Pinch … Following a day of NNS testing on Jan. 30, Bowyer headed to California for the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS) test but Brandon Miller stayed in Las Vegas and filled the seat in his absence. Miller will substitute for Bowyer at the non-companion Nationwide Series races when practice and qualifying conflict with the Sprint Cup Series schedule. * Only the Lonely … Bowyer’s lone, did not finish (DNF) of 2007 came last March at LVMS. The NNS veteran driver was running comfortably near the front of the field when another driver’s car got sideways in turns 3 and 4. The incident caused a chain reaction and ultimately collected Bowyer’s No. 2 machine. The damage was too extensive to complete repairs and Bowyer was ultimately credited with a 41st-place finish. * RCR Nationwide Cars in Sin City … In eight NASCAR Nationwide Series (NNS) races at LVMS, RCR cars have posted two wins, one pole, seven top-five and 11 top-10 finishes. * Clint Bowyer Live … Bowyer will meet fans at three different stops this Thursday night. From 5 p.m.-7 p.m., Bowyer will sign autographs in the Sports Book at the Orleans Casino and Hotel. The Orleans is located at 4500 W. Tropicana Blvd. Following his first stop of the night, Bowyer will head for the Las Vegas Chapter of Speedway Children’s Charities annual NASCAR Driver Auction at Sam’s Town Live, located inside Sam’s Town Hotel and Gambling Hall. Sam’s Town is east of the Strip on Boulder Highway. Race fans will have the opportunity to bid on a ride around LVMS with Bowyer in a convertible during Saturday and Sunday’s driver introduction pre-race parade lap. Finally, he will sign autographs at the NASCAR Café inside the Sahara from 8:30 p.m. – 10 p.m. The Sahara is on the northern end of the Las Vegas strip at 2535 Las Vegas Blvd. South.

CLINT BOWYER QUOTES
You had a great qualifying effort in the Nationwide race last year at Las Vegas. You started fifth but you crashed early. That was you’re only DNF last season.
“Believe it or not, (Matt) Kenseth took us all out (laughs)! You know your luck’s gone south when a guy like Matt Kenseth wipes everyone out. That just doesn’t happen with a guy like Matt. He’s a good driver. You can’t even get mad at him for it. I just chuckled about it and said ‘I can’t believe that just happened’ and he couldn’t either. Honestly, we both got a pretty good laugh out of it. We all make mistakes. I gave him a hard time about it afterwards. If it was anyone else, I would have been really mad but how can anyone get mad at Matt Kenseth?”
