TEAM REPORTS (FONTANA, CA.) - BILL DAVIS/PHILLIP MCGILTON PRE-CALIFORNIA NOTES
![]() |
NOTES:
* This week’s race truck for California Speedway is Chassis No. 22-42. This is the same truck that the No. 22 team ran last year at Homestead. * Newbie… This will be McGilton’s first time on the two-mile track at California Speedway. * Great Start… Even though McGilton’s first NASCAR start came last weekend, McGilton showed his calm and collective personality well as he brought home a 12th place finish in his NASCAR debut at Daytona International Speedway. * Sponsor Alert… After debuting last week on McGilton’s No. 22 Toyota Tundra as an associate sponsor, Three Wide Life will take over as the primary sponsor this weekend at California Speedway on his Tundra. * Autographs anyone? McGilton will participate in a Toyota Motorsports autograph session Wednesday, Feb. 20 at Toyota’s National Headquarters in Torrance, Calif. The event is scheduled to last from 11:00 a.m. till 3:00 p.m. This event gives Toyota employees a chance to get up close and personal with the Toyota Tundra family. * Listen and watch… The San Bernardino County 200 is scheduled to start at 3 p.m. ET Saturday, Feb. 23. It will broadcast live on Speed Channel (TV), MRN (radio) and Sirius Satellite Radio (Ch. 128).
Phillip McGilton has no stats for California Speedway
“I am looking forward in going to California for sure. After last week’s race and with all the success BDR has had at the California Speedway I think things are going to be real good for this No. 22 team this weekend. I am interested to see how the tapered plates will run since this is the first race with them. Things are going great for me and my new team so far and I see no reason to let up now.”
“I have to thank Three Wide Life for being the primary on my truck for this weekend. Hopefully we can put on a great show for them and all the folks at Toyota as well. This track is near Toyota’s headquarters, so it would be great to get a Toyota in the Victory Lane and it would be really great if it was us.”
