RACING BUSINESS (MEMPHIS, TN.) - Sam's Town Tunica Leads List of Returning Sponsors for 2008
The Memphis Motorsports Park business development office announced today a partial roster of returning sponsors for the 2008 racing season.
Sam’s Town Tunica heads the list of partners with a six-year extension and new role as the Official Casino of Memphis Motorsports Park. The 10th anniversary of the NASCAR Nationwide Series (formerly NASCAR Busch Series) race in Memphis – known as the Sam’s Town 250 since its inception in 1999 – will have a new title sponsor for 2008.
“Sam’s Town Tunica has been and will continue to be a tremendous supporter of motorsports in the Mid-South,” said Memphis Motorsports Park Vice President and General Manager Jason Rittenberry. “We understand their need to diversify their means of exposure in the region, but are also extremely appreciative that they will remain a prominent member of our sponsor roster for years to come.”
Other track partnerships recently extended include the Governor’s Highway Safety Office’s “Booze It & Lose It” campaign, Coyote Ugly Saloon, Hypertech, Methodist North Hospital, Tennessee Used Oil Recycling and Millington Telephone, which distinguishes itself as the facility’s longest continuous sponsor with 21 years of support.
O’Reilly Auto Parts, FedEx, Paetec Communications, Coca Cola, Comp Cams and Craftsman Tools are among the track’s partners that, prior to the end of the 2007 season, were already under contract as part of multi-year agreements.
