Chrysler's Turnaround Chief to Keynote New York Auto Show

NEW YORK - February 14, 2008: Robert Nardelli, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Chrysler LLC since August 2007, will deliver the keynote at the upcoming New York International Auto Show.

Prior to joining Chrysler, Nardelli served as Chairman, President and CEO of The Home Depot beginning in 2000. Nardelli began his career at GE in 1971, and advanced through a series of leadership positions in the company's Appliances, Lighting and Transportation Systems business units. In 1988, he left GE to join Case Corporation in Racine, Wis., where he led Case Construction Equipment's global business. He returned to GE in 1992 and was ultimately named President and CEO of GE Power Systems and Senior Vice President of General Electric.
Among other distinguished roles, Nardelli chairs the Atlanta Board of Visitors of the Savannah College of Art and Design, and has also served on President Bush's Council on Service and Civic Participation.
Kicking off the springtime selling season, the 2008 New York International Auto Show will feature an impressive collection of cutting-edge design and remarkable innovation. More than four floors of displays from the world's automakers will feature the newest vehicles and futuristic concept cars. More than 1,000 cars and trucks will be on display at the Javits Center, filling 846,000 square feet of exhibit space. In addition, dozens of World and North American vehicle debuts are expected at the Show. NYIAS is owned and produced by the Greater New York Automobile Dealers Association.
