Advanced ID Pneu-Logic Subsidiary Develops Electronic Measurement System for Truck Tires

DERBYSHIRE, England--Advanced ID Corporation (OTCBB: AIDO), a leading developer of radio frequency identification (RFID) technology for livestock tracking, pet recovery and supply chain applications focusing on the tire management industry, today announced that its Pneu-Logic Ltd. subsidiary continues to successfully penetrate the tire industry with the signing of an initial contract for 2008 valued at $150,000 for data capture tools purchased by EDP Electronic Data Process of Grenoble, France. The data capture tools will be integrated with EDPs innovative tire management software to provide a complete tire management solution.

Mr. Jean-Luc Giusti, EDPs Managing Director, said, We continue to experience strong growth in European sales of our Fleet Check software solutions and Pneu-Logic tools. Based on this progress, we plan for EDP to expand its presence into the United States in 2008 in an effort to market our combined tire products offering to the many large global tire manufacturers and service providers located in the country. According to Tire Review, the United States market for all medium and light trucks in 2006 was in excess of 77 million units. The total U.S. and European market approaches $10 billion annually.

Fleet Check has been adopted in Europe as the industry leading system for effective tire management and we have worked very closely with EDP to ensure that our hardware and technology developments continue to open new revenue opportunities for both companies, said Ken Field, Pneu-Logic Sales Director for Europe, Middle East and Africa.

Separately, Advanced ID also announced that its Pneu-Logic subsidiary has developed an electronic Earth Mover (EM) or Off-The-Road (OTR) tire measurement system. With a price per tire approximating $3000, this segment of the market is experiencing high demand but is suffering from severe shortages on a global scale due in large part to requirements relating to infrastructure build outs and energy consumption in emerging growth countries. As a result, there is a need for a specialized tire management system to increase the useful life of these high cost and relatively scarce EM/OTR tires.

Because of the limited supply of EM/OTR tires, end users are demanding greater useful casing life through improved management of the asset. Better management starts by accurate and timely inspections that optimize the tire operating condition and any subsequent maintenance and service work, said Laren Yeomans, Managing Director of Pneu-Logic, who also participated in the development of the new EM/OTR tire measurement system. Providing accurate information on tread depth, operating pressure and temperature along with the visual condition of the tire allows for significant improvement in maintenance that will have a dramatic effect on optimizing tire longevity and performance.

Pneu-Logics new tire measurement system includes an electronic tire inspection probe specifically designed for EM/OTR tires. EM/OTR tires are built for construction vehicles carrying or moving heavy loads, such as dump trucks, grader and loaders. These vehicles are often traveling on rugged terrain and transporting material off-road and on-road. The new EM/OTR tire measurement system, available at the end of March 2008, is ideally suited for use with a complete range of vehicles operating at ports, quarries, construction sites, and underground and open cast mining. The replacement and original equipment market in the United States alone for OTR tires in 2006 was over 224,000 units, according to Tire Review, which is estimated to be valued at $672 million.

In another developmental effort, Pneu-Logic announced that it will be introducing a tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) for truck, bus and EM tires. The latest solution from Pneu-Logic is part of its plan for new product launches in 2008. The TPMS solution is based on Surface Acoustic Wave (SAW) technology and is at an advanced stage of development. In partnership with an industry leader in the SAW technology field, Pneu-Logic believes its TPMS product will be the first commercially available and affordable solution that measures tire temperature and pressure without disturbing the valve. When integrated with existing Pneu-Logic tools for measuring tread depth and reading RFID tags and patches, tire service organizations and managers will be provided with the most complete technology platform for identifying, inspecting and managing tires throughout their total life.

It is an exciting time for the technology development team at Pneu-Logic, which is partnering with software design specialists, tire industry constituents and customers to expand our leading tire maintenance and management platform, noted Mr. Yeomans. Our new products will revolutionize the products and services offered to the tire industry supply chain and enable improved performance of tires, more efficient management of tires and automotive personnel, and an improved return on tire assets.
