Kia Motors America Announces Management Changes

Byung Mo Ahn to Assume Leadership of KMA

IRVINE, Calif., Feb. 11 -- Kia Motors America, Inc. (KMA) today announced Len Hunt has left the company. Byung Mo Ahn, president of Kia Motors Corporation (KMC) has been appointed group president and CEO and will now oversee all aspects and daily operations of both KMA and Kia Motors Manufacturing Georgia (KMMG).

In addition, Ian Beavis, vice president marketing, has also left the company.

Tom Loveless, vice president of sales, will now report directly to Ahn. Tim Chaney, director of marketing has been appointed to acting department head and along with Randy Maurstad and Alex Fedorak, the heads of product planning and public relations respectively, will report directly to Ahn. These changes are being made in an effort to respond to rapidly changing market conditions in the United States.
