Greg Biffle

• Took the pole at the second Atlanta race in 2007 to earn a starting spot in the 2008 Budweiser Shootout
• In Biffle’s first Budweiser Shootout, he took the lead on lap two but gave it up during a round of green-flag stops on lap 46. He was able to maintain a top-five position for the remainder of the race, but despite the help of then-teammate Kurt Busch, was unable to regain the lead
• Was the sole Roush Fenway driver to participate in the 2007 Budweiser Shootout and finished 13th
• This year’s Budweiser Shootout will be Greg Erwin’s first Shootout as a crew chief

Jamie McMurray

• Makes his third start in the Shootout after securing his third career pole at Infineon Raceway in June 2007
• Best finish in the Shootout came in 2006 where he finished eighth
• McMurray is the defending race winner at Daytona International Speedway after winning by .005 seconds in the July 2007 race
• McMurray will pilot the No. 26 Crown Royal, Cask No. 16 Ford Fusion in Saturday's race. This special paint scheme promoting a new blend of Crown Royal will run in both the Shootout and the Daytona 500

Carl Edwards

• This is his second start in the Budweiser Shootout at Daytona International Speedway, poles at Fontana and Homestead in 2005 gave him entry to the 2006 Shootout
• Secured his second Shootout appearance with a pole win at Phoenix International Raceway in November of 2007
• The No. 99 Office Depot team will be unloading chassis No. RK-519. Edwards raced this car in October of 2007 at Talladega Superspeedway. He started that race 31st and finished 14th
• Broke the record for Shootout starters by being the 23rd different pole sitter in NSCS for 2007

Greg Biffle on racing in the Shootout:

“Racing in the Budweiser Shootout is always a good way to start the season. It’s a fun, lowstress race but it also gets you some valuable track time that the rest of the Daytona 500 contenders who aren’t in the shootout don’t get. It also means you got a pole in the previous year, so you must have done something right.”

Crew Chief Greg Erwin on racing in the Shootout:

“The Shootout will be important because it will be our first opportunity to run a full fuel run in traffic. We’ll see how the handling holds up and how the fuel mileage works out, which will be a big advantage as we prepare for the 150’s on Thursday. It should get us pointed in the right direction as far as where we need to be for setup as well as help us with a little extra practice time. That being said, we’re also looking at it as our first opportunity to put the 3M Ford in victory lane and we will be taking it seriously as a jumping point for the season.”

Jamie McMurray on racing in the Shootout:

"I'm really looking forward to the Shootout in Daytona for a lot of reasons. The last time we raced at Daytona I won there, which gives the team a lot of confidence heading into the race. Also, I really think that all speedway races should be no more than 50 to 70 laps. The rest of the time the guys are just putting themselves into a position to really go for it at the end. We are showcasing a brand new paint scheme in Daytona. It's the No. 26 Crown Royal Cask No. 16 Ford Fusion. The No. 16 isn't the car number, but actually the beginning of the postal code from the famous cognac region of France. Cask No. 16 is a new blend from Crown Royal.

“Aside from having a cool name, it's a great looking car that I'm really excited to run at both the Shootout and the Daytona 500. We had a pretty good test in Daytona a couple of weeks ago, so hopefully we can build on what we learned and put ourselves in a good position at the end of the race."

Crew Chief Larry Carter on racing in the Shootout:

“It’s hard to believe that we are starting the new season already. It really seems like we just finished things up in Homestead. I know the No. 26 Crown Royal team is excited about getting back to the track and especially when we get to run the Shootout. This year especially, with the new car, the extra track time is so valuable to not only the driver, but the team as well. It's a good warm up for the Duels and the Daytona 500.

“We are taking a brand new car down there for the Shootout. We’ve run the car at Daytona testing last month and were pretty pleased with the performance we got out of it. Overall, it’s going to be interesting to see how these new cars react when you get them into a big draft. Hopefully, we’ll go out there, run a good, smart race, and be there at the end when it counts. Last July it came down to the last lap for Jamie, and hopefully, he'll be in the same position in Saturday's Shootout.

Carl Edwards on racing in the Shootout:

“I’m excited that my Office Depot team and I were able to make it into the Budweiser Shootout this year. It frustrated me to miss out on the Shootout last year and have to sit out and watch the guys have fun without me. I’m excited every time I have the chance to race and am really looking forward to the Budweiser Shootout and hopefully getting a win for my Office Depot team.”

Crew Chief Bob Osborne on racing in the Shootout:

“I do enjoy being in the (Budweiser) Shootout. It's a great opportunity to get race experience for the (Daytona) 500. Of course I think we have a chance to win. I like to think we have a chance to win every time we go to the track – our No. 99 Office Depot team is very competitive and would like to win every race, regardless of whether or not points are involved. It will be fun to race with Jamie (McMurray) and Greg (Biffle), two of our teammates during the Shootout so that we may gain some insight into what will come in the Daytona 500.”
