Tony Dorsett, Carfax Team up to Help San Francisco Kids in Need

SAN FRANCISCO--On Sunday, Feb. 10, 2008, NFL Hall-of-Famer Tony Dorsett and Carfax are huddling up in San Francisco to raise funds for Larkin Street Youth Services. Mr. Dorsett will be at The Moscone Center with Carfax from 1pm – 3pm. The event takes place in conjunction with the 91st Annual National Auto Dealers Association (NADA) Convention and Exposition.

“Larkin Street does so much for this community and its young people. This is our way of giving something back to our gracious hosts – the city of San Francisco,” said Larry Gamache, communications director at Carfax. “We’re excited to be joined by Tony Dorsett and appreciate the support of NADA and its members. We’re looking forward to a fantastic event.”

Larkin Street Youth Services is an organization that inspires San Francisco’s most vulnerable youths to move beyond the streets. Through a range of housing and supportive services, medical care and education, Larkin Street assists kids in finding their own solutions for a better life. Since its inception in 1984, Larkin Street has created a nationally recognized model of innovative and effective care, serving more than 3,000 youths annually.

Tony Dorsett is one of the NFL’s all-time great players and the only person ever to win a Super Bowl, national college championship, the Heisman Trophy and be enshrined into the Collegiate and Pro Football Halls of Fame.
