Scania Year-End Report January – December 2007

- Scania reports record earnings, volume and cash flow

- Demand for Scanias products remains high

- Service-related sales rose by 11 percent, reflecting very high activity among Scanias customers

- Long delivery times despite increase in production rate by more than 15 percent during 2007

- The Board of Directors proposes that SEK 12.50 per share be distributed to the shareholders

Key figures

- Net sales of the Scania Group rose by 19 percent to SEK 84,486 m. (70,738)

- Net income for the period increased by 44 percent to SEK 8,554 m. (5,939)

- Earnings per share SEK 10.69 (7.42)

Scania is one of the world's leading manufacturers of trucks and buses for heavy transport applications, and of industrial and marine engines. A growing proportion of the company's operations consists of products and services in the financial and service sectors, assuring Scania customers of cost-effective transport solutions and maximum uptime.
