Acura Announces January 2008 Sales Results

TORRANCE, Calif., Feb. 1, 2008 -- The MDX luxury SUV topped January Acura sales for January with 3,982 units; however total Acura sales were 11,168, down 14.2 percent compared to last year.
"With next week's debut of the new 2009 RL at the Chicago Auto Show, we anticipate a substantial boost in Acura interest," said Dick Colliver, executive vice president of sales. "The RL, Acura's top-of-the-line sedan, will significantly raise the bar with new technology, additional power and enhanced handling."
January 2008 sales for Acura sedans was led by the TL performance luxury sedan with 3,246 units sold followed by the TSX sports sedan with 2,073 and RL luxury performance sedan with 383 units sold. In addition, the RDX turbocharged crossover SUV tallied 1,483 sales.
