*SPEED TECHNOLOGIES FINISHES 4TH IN THE LAUGHLIN DESERT CHALLENGE DESPITE
HARSH CONDITIONS*

Reno, NV (January 29th, 2008)---Speed Technologies, one of the nations
largest and foremost off-road racing teams, competed January 26th & 27th in
the Laughlin Desert Challenge with an overall finishing of 4th place for
their Herman Motor Sports Avenger (#130) driven by both Mark Levrett and
Chuck Dempsey.

The race started Saturday, January 26th with both Speed Technologies
vehicles racing in the Class 1 series. The Dominator (#109), driven by
team owner John Harrah, started out in 9th position and finished in 7th, while
The HMS Avenger (#130), driven by Levrett, started out 30th off the line and
finished in 6th place.

"The race was awesome, but rough and very, very intense," said Dominator
driver John Harrah.

The race finished off on Sunday, January 27th with Mike Joelson driving The
Dominator and Chuck Dempsey behind the wheel of the HMS Avenger. After
raining all night and throughout the day the course was muddy and difficult
to navigate. The Dominator broke its CV joints after the first lap and had
to stop, but the HMS Avenger finished the race and took 4th place overall
for Class 1 competitors.

"The track was really rough, but we feel as if the team is just getting
better and better every race," said driver Mark Levrett.

The Laughlin race course is one of the rougher courses in the Score
International Off-Road Racing Series. Unlike many off-road races that are
held on wide open and long courses, the Laughlin Desert Challenge takes
place on a six mile closed circuit course—making it a very intense race with
no room for error.

Speed Technologies will compete February 2nd and 3rd in the Parker 425 race
and plans to enter four cars. For more information on Speed Technologies
