PARIS - January 25, 2008: A year after its launch, the Fiat Bravo has sold more than 90,000 vehicles in Europe and, according to Fiat, has also been the highest-selling compact 5-door car in Italy since April 2007.

Now, Fiat introduces the new 1.6 Multijet 16v engine to the Fiat Bravo, which is its latest-generation turbo diesel engine. Compared to the well-known 1.9 Multijet 120 bhp, the 1.6 Multijet series has an improved torque of almost 25% (300 Nm at 1500 rpm), accelerates from 0-100 kph in 10.5 seconds and has a 5% improvement in noise reduction. The Fiat Bravo 1.6 Multijet engine will be available in two power versions: 105 or 120 bhp, the first on sale in January and the second from March 2008.
