ORLANDO, Fla., Jan. 23 -- As part of the 2008 Chrysler Financial Orlando Business Meeting, employees from field sales locations and customer contact centers will donate more than 1,000 hours of community service with Hands On Orlando today. Employees will come together to create a park, paint murals, landscape, install rocking chairs and other park equipment which will ultimately help prepare apartments for occupancy at the Helping Others Make the Effort, Inc. (HOME) campus.
"It's the Community Relations philosophy of Chrysler Financial to get involved in the communities where we live and work," said Mark Manzo, Vice President - Sales and Marketing for Chrysler Financial.
Orlando is also home to one of the company's eight United States Chrysler Financial Business Centers which employs more than 100 finance professionals who serve 500 dealers and their customers throughout the Southeast with a variety of automotive financial services and products and is one of Chrysler's largest markets in the country.
"Today is the third time the company has worked with Hands On Orlando in concert with other business meetings," said Pat Milantoni, Vice President - Customer Service and Collections for Chrysler Financial. "Today we're doing more than talking about social responsibility; we're bringing that core value to life by making every apartment feel a little more special, more like home."
Manzo said the company's volunteer initiative in Orlando is a symbol of employee outreach, helping empower families to become more self-sufficient and break the cycle of homelessness, by acting locally.
