Grand-Am announced today the launch of a newly designed website at www.grand-am.com aimed at bringing to race fans the Grand-Am racing experience when they can’t attend races at the track. The new site will also provide marketing partners and teams with information on the Grand-Am Rolex Sports Car Series presented by Crown Royal Cask No. 16 and Grand-Am KONI Challenge Series in a more timely manner.

“This site will be much more than just press releases; the site will feature news stories and editorials from writers around the country, bringing independent views and opinions to Grand-Am’s official site,” said Kevin Hindson, Grand-Am Vice President of Marketing and Communications. “In addition, the new site will feature more multimedia offerings, including live streaming audio and video with a goal of allowing fans to be able to truly understand and experience the Rolex Series and KONI Challenge through the website.”

As part of the new website’s launch, a prominent link is available on the right-hand side of the page for fans to alert the webmaster of bugs with the new website, or just to send a positive note on the redesign.

The website was redesigned by Racer Sites, a leading provider of web design, development and management services for companies within motor sports or those targeting the industry. The current client roster includes top Daytona Prototype teams TELMEX/Chip Ganassi with Felix Sabates Racing, SunTrust/Wayne Taylor Racing and Michael Shank Racing, Rolex 24 At Daytona entrant Graham Rahal, the Grand-Am sanctioned Ferrari Challenge series, and other stars from the world of motorsports.

The new site’s first offering at streaming video will come tonight with an announcement made live during the NASCAR Media Tour. Visit www.grand-am.com to view the announcement as it is being made. The announcement will occur at 7:30 p.m. ET.

The Grand American Road Racing Association, which operates and sanctions the Grand-Am Rolex Sports Car Series presented by Crown Royal Cask No. 16 and the Grand-Am KONI Challenge Series, is the premier road racing organization in North America.
