Team JEGS chef Nicky Morse has been selected as a judge for the world-renowned Pizza Pizzazz Competition at the upcoming North America Pizza & Ice Cream Show (NAPICS), which takes place Feb. 17-18 at the Greater Columbus Convention Center in Columbus, Ohio.

The Pizza Pizzazz Competition is the longest-running pizza-making competition in the United States. The event is open to all NAPICS attendees, which last year numbered more than 5,000 people involved in the pizza and ice cream business. Morse and the other judges will select the best pizzas in two different categories -- traditional and gourmet. They will grade the pies for appearance, marketability, and taste.

"I'm really looking forward to this contest," Morse said. "It's really neat that they sought me out and asked me to be one of the judges. It's a big responsibility because the previous winners of this contest have all gone on to great success in the restaurant business. It's serious stuff."

In his illustrious career, Morse has prepared meals for royalty, distinguished diplomats, and Ohio's ultra wealthy at the only four-star restaurant in Columbus, Ohio. He's cooked for country music's brightest stars as part of the support crew for CMT's "Showcase" program. He's mentored young apprentices at Ohio State University, and worked elbow-to-elbow with Wolfgang Puck to raise money for cancer research. He also has his own reality show entitled "The Racing Chef."
