:: The Force India F1 Team 2008 car will be shown for the first time at Autosport Engineering, a specialist technical show within Autosport International, after extensive winter testing. Hardinge Machine Tools, one of the official suppliers of manufacturing solutions to the team, will display the car on their stand (E658) during the exclusive Trade Days on 10-11 January. :: Aerodynamics - Ground Effects and Turbulence Seminar. In recent years, the testing capabilities of the Pininfarina Wind Tunnel have been further improved by installing a new moving ground with high-speed performance and a peculiar geometry especially designed for testing racing cars. This adds to the unique Turbulence Generation System to simulate natural wind, upstream wakes, transients and dynamic crosswind. The contemporary adoption of these devices opens new possibilities to the aerodynamic development of racing cars in a full-scale wind tunnel. These will all be discussed in the seminar presented by Pininfarina Wind Tunnel on Thursday 10 January at 13.00 in Concourse Suite 31-33. :: Beru F1 targets NASCAR. BERU F1systems is to target NASCAR, North America's top motor racing series - at a UK-based exhibition. Following the tremendous success of its oval "stock car" damper and top hat loadcells, the company is to display prototypes of its new bump stop loadcell at January's Autosport Engineering. BERU F1systems will also show how it has expanded its original range of top hat loadcells, thus offering bespoke derivatives for customers. :: New machining techniques presented. Delcam will make a presentation which will describe the latest CAD/CAM techniques to increase the speed and accuracy with which autosport suppliers can manufacture different types of components. Topics covered will include the machining of engine ports and other complex shapes, and the production of composite components. :: ATL to launch new Fuel Cell and Refuelling Solutions. ATL Racing Fuel Cells, which supplies the entire Formula 1 field, as well as NASA space stations, has chosen Autosport Engineering, part of Autosport International, to launch a host of new products. These include a Porsche 977 fuel cell and lightweight carbon cover, FIA Vent and Pressure Relief Valves, Pressure Regulating Valves, ACO Refuelling Rig Weighing System, plus ATL's new Fuel Delivery Systems, as well as its "Returnless" Fuel Collector System and its Refuelling Rig System, which incorporates many "Fast Flow" features to reduce refuelling times. :: CR Scuderia to launch GT Team. Autosport International will provide the launch pad for an exciting new team, CR Scuderia, which is hoping to be a title-challenging force in the world of endurance racing in 2008. CR Scuderia will contest the FIA GT and British GT Championships with Ferrari 430 GTs, as well as running a team in the UK Formula Renault Championship. :: Roll cage design discussed. When it comes to the crunch, MIRA will find the answers. Everything you need to know about roll cage design, from the UK's only FIA accredited design and certification specialists, will be discussed at the MIRA seminar. The workshop considers: materials selection, joint characterisation, load path analysis, stiffness considerations and C of G optimisation, to deliver a thoroughly modern design philosophy for racecar safety.
