CONCORD, Mass., Jan. 7 -- TomTom Inc. today announced that its latest navigation software will be available for the majority of its installed base of users in Q1 2008. Now, TomTom GO 910, TomTom GO 510, TomTom GO 700, TomTom GO 300, TomTom ONE XL and TomTom ONE devices are also compatible with TomTom's latest software. This allows users of these devices to utilize TomTom's exclusive map improvement technology Map Share(TM) and to get access to the unique 'Help Me!' safety features.
TomTom Map Share(TM) and 'Help Me!' were announced in June 2007 along with the latest version of TomTom's award-winning navigation software, and already come pre-installed on the TomTom GO 920, TomTom GO 920 T, TomTom GO 720, TomTom ONE 3RD EDITION, and TomTom ONE XL, TomTom ONE XLS.
TomTom's latest navigation software can be easily downloaded and installed via TomTom HOME. When the TomTom device is connected to TomTom HOME, a free- of-charge upgrade to TomTom's latest software will be offered.
In order to use TomTom Map Share(TM), TomTom users must have a device with map version 6.75 or higher installed. Users of the TomTom models with a map version lower than 6.75 can still take advantage of TomTom Map Share(TM) by purchasing the latest map version through TomTom HOME.

The extensive 'Help Me!' menu includes information about the nearest car repair service center, police station, or hospital, and allows users to either locate or call the closest emergency service provider no matter where they are. It also allows users to quickly identify their exact location, so that they can provide this information to emergency assistance providers and receive help more quickly.
