GoodCleanTech.com Recognizes Eco-technology Leaders of 2007

SANTA MONICA, Calif. January 3, 2008; Following a year of significant advancements in its technology and product line, Miles Electric Vehicles was named the “Electric Car Company of the Year” by GoodCleanTech, a 2007 Weblog Awards Finalist and active eco-friendly blog website, December 30, 2007.

“In a brand new field of EV market entrants, one company continues to stand out and truly deserves to be called electric car company of the year,” wrote GoodCleanTech on its site. “Miles Automotive…will undoubtedly break through the clutter by spearheading environmentally friendly, affordable personal transportation.”

As a privately held company, Miles Electric Vehicles accomplished much of what larger, publicly owned companies struggled to do in 2007. Just a few of MILES’ 2007 accomplishments were improving its low speed product line to include superior AC motor/controller technology, launching the low speed ZX40ST truck model, re-launching its interactive website (www.milesev.com), and establishing a solid dealer network. With each goal met, Miles Electric Vehicles took one step closer to fulfilling its mission of changing the world one car at a time.

“We are poised for tremendous growth in the US and international markets in 2008,” said MILES CEO, Jeff Boyd. “GoodCleanTech’s recognition is certainly an important endorsement of our efforts.”

In conjunction with the editors and analysts at PC Magazine, GoodCleanTech recognizes forward thinking, eco-friendly technology and also isolates those companies who are not doing their part to reduce pollution. GoodCleanTech closely followed the progress of Miles Electric Vehicles throughout 2007, which can be found at www.goodcleantech.com.

Founded in 2005 by activist/entrepreneur Miles Rubin, Miles Electric Vehicles is headquartered in Santa Monica, Calif. and is now successfully marketing a line of low speed, all electric cars and trucks, which combine the best of US electric motor and controller technology with China’s advanced battery and vehicle manufacturing capabilities. All MILES vehicles conform to US NHTSA standards and are manufactured with safety and ease of use as prime considerations. To date the company has built a prestigious fleet customer base that includes the City of Chicago, NASA, UCLA, Cal State Polytechnic University, and the US Navy. MILES is currently developing a safe, affordable highway-speed, all electric vehicle for distribution in the US and EU in 2009.
