Robert Yeatman Appointed to General Manager of Sales Management and Volume Planning for MBUSA

MONTVALE, N.J., Dec. 20, 2007 -- Mercedes-Benz USA (MBUSA) announced the appointment of Robert Yeatman to the position of general manager, sales management and volume planning, effective immediately reporting directly to Michael Slagter, vice president of sales.

In this newly created position, Yeatman will be responsible for the development, implementation and compliance of all policies, programs and activities in support of all Mercedes-Benz , Maybach and SLR vehicle sales and objectives, ensuring that activities and initiatives balance organizational and market needs. In addition, Yeatman will also oversee the sales volume planning department which aligns MBUSA's strategic sales direction and front-line execution.

Yeatman comes to MBUSA from its Daimler AG affiliate, Mercedes-Benz Financial (MBF) where he worked for 17 years. Most recently, Yeatman worked at MBF as general manager, overseeing the development and implementation of joint strategies for MBF and MBUSA, encompassing leasing and retail financing, loyalty programs, conquest initiatives, and off-lease programs.

Yeatman holds a Master of Business Administration from Wilmington University in Wilmington, Delaware, and a Bachelor of Applied Business Administration from Dallas Baptist University in Dallas, Texas.

Mercedes-Benz USA, headquartered in Montvale, New Jersey, is responsible for the sales, marketing and service of all Mercedes-Benz and Maybach products in the United States. In 2006, MBUSA achieved an all-time sales record of 248,080 new vehicles, setting the highest sales volume ever in its history and achieving 13 consecutive years of sales growth.
