Montreal, December 19th, 2007 - It is as of
tomorrow, Thursday December 20th, 2007 that

the most exciting and prestigious sporting event
in the country, the Grand Prix of Canada. It will
be presented on June 6th, 7th and 8th 2008, at
the Gilles-Villeneuve circuit. This seventh round
of the FIA World Championship is more anticipated
than ever, since it will be the only rendezvous
with Formula 1 for the North American fans.

The 2007 Formula 1 Championship offered us all a
thrill! Alonso, Hamilton and Räikkönen battling
it out until the end in an unforgettable
showdown. It was also a year marked by the
memorable first victory in Hamilton's careerŠ in
Montreal. Coming up in spring 2008Šthe sequel!
This edition will feature a pack of unstoppable
young wolves ready to fight it out for the
championship and achieve the ultimate triumph on
the demanding Gilles-Villeneuve circuit, in a
year that celebrates the 30th anniversary of the
Grand Prix's arrival to our metropolis.

"We are happy to maintain a tradition dear to the
hearts of our racing fans: the annual visit of
Formula 1 to Montreal, and the presentation of
the always exciting Grand Prix of Canada,"
declared the Executive Vice-President of the
organization, François Dumontier. "The loyal fans
at the Gilles-Villeneuve circuit know it, nothing
equals the experience of the Grand Prix of
Canada, at Parc Jean-Drapeau. We gladly become
addicted to such an event, to the shivers that
overtake the bodies on Friday morning at the
sound of the first notes from the symphony of
motors, the suspense of Saturday afternoon's
qualifying rounds and the excitement of Sunday's
spectacular start. Best of all are the memories
that rush through the veins until the next Grand
Prix. Those who have not yet lived the experience
owe it to themselves. They must live it, as a
couple, with the family or among friends," added
François Dumontier.

All grandstand and general admission tickets will
thus be on sale as of tomorrow. With Christmas
just days away, and tickets being the perfect
