The AM14 is compatible with a wide range of new GM vehicles, including Cadillac CTS and Escalade, Chevrolet Avalanche, Silverado, Suburban and Tahoe, and GMC Sierra and Yukon among others. AM14 adds long range 2-way remote control to any GM-equipped remote start system, greatly increasing the range users typically experience from the factory remote. The simple install requires only 3 wire connections to the vehicle: 12 volt constant power, ground, and connection to the data wire in the OBDII On-Board Diagnostic connector.
According to Ken Ward, Product Category Manager for Security & Remote Start, "The new AM14 is 'Powered by XPRESSKIT(TM)', which means it is data- enabled, easy to install, and quickly programmable using downloadable firmware via the XKLOADER USB interface. It's one of the next generation systems from Automate designed specifically for the New Car Dealer channel."
