Quvico Enters the World of New Fuel Technologies
LOVELAND, Colo. December 18, 2007; Working with a “three initialed R&D company” in Loveland, Colorado, Quvico has broken ground on an exciting new fuel/engine technology that has tremendous promise. Based upon the belief that a thousand micro-improvements in conventional technologies will generate far more reliable results than chasing the Holy Grail of pure Hydrogen power, one member of the team explains that, “we are taking new perspectives on old paradigms reworked to fit current problems. If that sounds vague, it is supposed to.”
Given their initial budget of less than $2 million however, they don’t expect to be saving the entire planet anytime soon. Instead of the grandiose projections being made by many other energy technology companies, another team member says quite simply that, “If we can enable the average family car to get a dollars worth of extra-clean energy for a lot less than a dollar, well that’s pretty darn good.”
Quvico was founded by Lonnie Labriola who, gained headlines for saving the Indian Motorcycle trademark but losing the right to rebuild the resulting Indian Motorcycle Company. Thought to be an impossible task prior to his having done it, he assembled what many considered to be a motorcycle development dream team that included Bob Lutz, James Parker, Roush Industries, and many other top executives, motorcycle experts, and investment bankers.
“The end was devastating”, said Lonnie, “but I never think about that. What I remember is that it was an exciting and fun project that saved an important icon in American culture. Returning to the machine shop with our new program brings all that positive energy right back. What will be exciting to see here is if I can recreate the same level of success in this new venture.”
Quvico is a highly diversified Colorado LLC based in Boulder County. Founded by Leonard S. Labriola, initial funding was provided by Mamdouh Stéfanos. Mr. Stéfanos is a highly respected Egyptian-born investor and philanthropist now based in Montreal, Canada. Quvico, LLC and Group Stéfanos International are involved with a number of different projects together in addition to this new clean-fuel effort, projects that include solar energy generation and PV Cell manufacturing, desalinization plants for the middle-east, anti-scale and corrosion compound development, under-sea/marina lighting, new-tech secure ID card technologies, and others.
