Nine Racing of Laguna Beach, Calif. is the early leader in the USAC National Midget Series going into Saturday's race at O'Reilly Raceway Park in Indianapolis. The Nine Racing #91 posted the fastest qualifying time at Iowa Speedway in May.
The #3F fielded by Ted Finkenbinder of Fairfield, Calif. is two points ahead of Mike Swanson's #17 in the Lucas Oil Western Sprint Car Series, which next competes June 16 at Tracy, Calif. The Finkenbinder car was the fastest qualifier at Roseville, Calif.
