NORRISTOWN, Pa., Nov. 29, 2007 -- Hermann Kampling will assume the leadership of Seton Company on January 1, 2008. Seton, a leading global supplier of leather for automotive interiors, has its corporate office in Pennsylvania. The company employs approximately 4,000 in facilities in the Americas, Europe, South Africa, and the Far East.
The announcement was made by Philip D. Kaltenbacher, Seton's Chairman, who remarked that Kampling was a "standout in a long, intensive worldwide search."
Robert DeMajistre, Seton's current President and COO, will step down, but will remain associated with Seton as an advisor. Mr. Kaltenbacher praised and thanked Mr. DeMajistre, who has had a 24 year career at Seton, as a "fine, dedicated, loyal leader -- and a friend -- who ably led the company in a most difficult period. We all thank Bob, wish him well; and are pleased that he has agreed to consult with us."

He lives with his wife, Monika and 2 children in Hamburg, Germany.
Mr. Kaltenbacher added: "Hermann is an experienced, knowledgeable automotive executive with a can-do, upbeat attitude, a hands-on leader, who has built and motivated strong teams on an international basis. We welcome him with enthusiasm and high expectations."
