Honda begins exporting SUVs to U.S. from Mexico

GUADALAJARA, Mexico November 25, 2007; Japan Today reported that Honda Motor Co said Thursday it has begun exporting CR-V sport utility vehicles produced at its plant in Mexico to the United States and plans to start shipping the models to Brazil and other South American countries next year.

Attending a ceremony to commemorate the production of 200,000 four-wheel vehicles at the factory, Honda President Takeo Fukui said his company wants to take advantage of Mexico's geographical location and expand its supply to both North America and South America.
