The American Le Mans Series is asking fans to help choose the 10 greatest moments in Series history.

The American Le Mans Series is preparing for its 10th anniversary season and is asking its fans around the world to help pick its greatest moments. A poll on the Series' web site (americanlemans.com) will allow users to vote for their 10 favorite moments in Series history, dating back to the first race at Sebring in 1999.

There are multiple phases planned with the starting field reduced down to 40 after two weeks of voting and write-ins welcome during the first round. From then on, the choices will be reduced by 10 every two weeks with fans having the chance to rank the top 10 moments starting January 11. These final 10 will be featured on americanlemans.com and during Series television broadcasts throughout the year.

Preparations for the 2008 American Le Mans Series, its 10th season of world-class sports car racing, begin January 28-30 with the annual Winter Test at Sebring International Raceway. The 2008 season opens with the Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring on Saturday, March 15.
