Yancey Bros. Named as Blue Bird School Bus Dealer for Georgia, Alabama
AUSTELL, Ga., Nov. 13, 2007 -- Austell-based Yancey Bros. Co. has been named as the exclusive dealer of all Blue Bird school bus products for Georgia and Alabama, Yancey Bros. and Blue Bird officials have announced.
In naming the newly formed Yancey Bus Sales & Service to its growing dealer network, Blue Bird noted that Yancey will offer the full line of Blue Bird school bus products in the states of Georgia and Alabama. For the past three years, Yancey Power Systems Division has been an authorized Blue Bird Bus Care and Bus Spec dealer in Georgia, providing parts distribution and warranty repairs on Blue Bird school buses across the state.

Yancey's expanded role as a full-service Blue Bird dealer will include providing school districts, contractors, and many public and private sector customers across Georgia and Alabama with a world-class level of sales, service and after-purchase support, noted Jim Stephenson, President and CEO of Yancey Bros. Co.

Plans for the new Yancey Bus Sales & Service Division include offering sales and service locations in both Georgia and Alabama, along with a dedicated fleet of service trucks and parts delivery vans for Blue Bird product support, added Stephenson. The company expects that the new responsibilities will create up to 30 new jobs in Georgia and Alabama in the next twelve months.
