AssuranceAmerica Corporation Announces Acquisitions That Expand Its Presence in Alabama
ATLANTA--Atlanta based AssuranceAmerica Corporation (OTCBB:ASAM) today announced its retail agency subsidiary in Alabama, TrustWay Insurance Partners doing business as Frontline Insurance Group, acquired Bush Insurance agency in Montgomery and Covenant Insurance Agency in Abbeville.
In announcing the acquisitions, Lawrence (Bud) Stumbaugh, President and CEO of AssuranceAmerica said, “Both of these agencies are within an hour’s drive of our main operation in Troy, Alabama. Management there can easily spend time orienting our new team members to our procedures and can share our approaches to growing revenue through our retail arms. An added value of these two locations is that they were not writing AssuranceAmerica policies before being acquired and now are excited and motivated to write on behalf of their new sister company.”
AssuranceAmerica focuses on the specialty automobile insurance marketplace, primarily in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Mississippi, South Carolina, Texas, and Louisiana. Its principal operating subsidiaries are TrustWay Insurance Agencies, LLC ("Agency"), which sells personal automobile insurance policies through its 49 retail agencies, AssuranceAmerica Managing General Agency LLC ("MGA"), which markets the company’s insurance products through over 1,600 participating independent agencies, and AssuranceAmerica Insurance Company ("Carrier").
