Northern California Ford Dealers Tap into Video Game Advertising to Reach Male Buyers
SAN FRANCISCO--Engage In-Game Advertising, a media company exclusively focused on targeting core and casual gamers across console, PC, and mobile video games, announced that the Northern California Ford Dealers Advertising Association will launch its first casual video game advertising campaign. The casual game program – developed by Engage In-Game Advertising – is designed to drive awareness around the Ford Fusion Sport Model with new Sync voice activated in-vehicle communication system. The promotional campaign, starting November 15, will offer a lease incentive for $269 a month for 36 months with zero security deposit, zero first months’ payment and zero cash due at signing.
According to the Casual Game Association, there are currently 200 million casual gamers worldwide. These gamers are not the stereotypical core gamer 13- to 24- year-old male, but rather a diverse demographic ranging in age and gender. Looking to reach males ages 25-54, Northern California Ford Dealers Advertising Association and their agency, J Walter Thompson (JWT) are eager to communicate with their target audience in an engaging digital environment which is captivating more consumers everyday.
“Through our partnership with Engage we are able to directly target a specific demographic on a regional level,” said JWT Account Director Ryan Charlick. “With the average male 25-54 spending less time with traditional media and more time with interactive gaming, it is essential for our campaign to reflect that transition.”
The campaign will place Ford Fusion ad units in male dominated sports, action, driving, and card games. The integrated approach includes fifteen- second Ford Fusion pre-game commercials, high-impact Ford Fusion billboards positioned on game information pages, and exclusive Ford Fusion banners featured inside game session windows.
“All creative components of the campaign are trackable, clickable and directly link the consumer to the Ford Fusion promotional offer,” said David Smith, president and co-founder of Engage. “This interactive element will greatly enhance consumer awareness and drive leads for Northern California Ford dealers.”
