John Deere Sets Warranty Standard with New Four Year Bumper-to-Bumper Coverage for Consumers

John Deere Announces New Limited Warranty for Select Series(TM) Tractors

CARY, N.C., Nov. 12 -- John Deere has introduced a longer limited warranty for Select Series(TM) tractors within its Commercial and Consumer Equipment Division. The new limited warranty doubles previous monthly coverage for private residential, personal use applications. In addition, it covers all parts of new John Deere Select Series(TM) tractors for four years at no additional cost to consumers.*

The new warranty will cover tractors in John Deere's premium line of Lawn & Garden tractors, the Select Series(TM). This series includes the X300, X500 and X700 tractors, which are exclusively sold at John Deere dealers.

This longer four year bumper-to-bumper limited warranty joins an already extensive list of other added product premiums and benefits associated with John Deere Select Series(TM) tractors. "We really consider this an extension of John Deere's commitment to its loyal customers and legendary products," says Docherty.

The new limited warranty is effective upon delivery of all John Deere Select Series(TM) tractors purchased through authorized John Deere dealers on or after November 2, 2007. Adding to the convenience of the package, customers are not responsible for online or offline registration to secure warranty service. The limited warranty is applied automatically and put into effect when a warranty claim is reported within the respective warranty term.
