Federal-Mogul’s Jay Burkhart Presented Industry ‘Pursuit of Excellence’ Award
SOUTHFIELD, Mich.--James (Jay) Burkhart, senior vice president, Global Aftermarket for Federal-Mogul Corporation (OTCBB:FDMLQ), was presented the Automotive Warehouse Distributors Association (AWDA) “Pursuit of Excellence” Award during the annual APPEX trade conference in Las Vegas, Nevada. This award is presented annually in recognition of excellence in business performance and setting high standards as an example for others. AWDA is an operating unit of the Automotive Aftermarket Industry Association (AAIA).
Burkhart is responsible for Federal-Mogul’s global aftermarket business and is a member of the Federal-Mogul Strategy Board. He received the award in recognition of his important contributions to the industry’s “Be Car Care Aware” consumer education campaign. He serves as chairman of the executive board of AAIA’s Car Care Council, and most recently helped direct the development of a consumer “Car Care Guide,” which already has been distributed to more than two million motorists.
“Jay Burkhart has spearheaded the ‘Be Car Care Aware’ campaign at many levels,” said Rich White, senior vice president of AAIA. “He well deserves this honor.”
Burkhart joined Federal-Mogul in 1998 and was most recently vice president of global marketing. He has had positions of increasing responsibility in the areas of product line management, product pricing, brand management and business development and strategy.
