Future Stars in Racing to Be Back With ASA Late Model Series in 2008
Academy to hand out $6500 in Contingency Awards at banquet
Concord, N.C. (November 7, 2007) – Future Stars in Racing Training
and Development Academy is pleased to announce that they will
continue to serve as the Official Training and Development Academy
for the ASA Late Model Series 2008 Season. The Academy also announced
that they will grant $6500 in contingency awards for the 2007 Top Ten
drivers in the North, South and Challenge Divisions as well as the
Rookie of the Year in each of the same three divisions.
“The first time we heard about the academy we knew it was a good
program and was something our drivers should take a serious look at,”
commented Ron Varney, ASA Late Model Series founder and president.
“We believe that we are a great developmental series for drivers and
partnering with Future Stars is a natural fit”.
The Academy will be rewarding the Top Ten drivers in each of the
three ASA Late Model divisions; ASA North, ASA South and ASA
Challenge. They will also reward the Rookie of the Year winner in
each division.
“The ASA Late Model series has shown that they are the series where
young drivers can develop skills on the track in a competitive and
professionally run series,” said President/CEO of Future Stars, Rolfe
Schnur. “We are pleased that Ron and Sandy Varney will allow us to
remain the official Training and Development Academy of the ASA Late
Model Series.”
The Academy helps prepare young drivers for success outside the car
in public speaking; sponsor presentations; working with the media and
behavior on and off the track. Marketing partners include Safety-
Kleen, Awesome Racewear and Sunbelt Web Solutions. The Academy
