The renowned fabrication company known for making concept cars, airplane
glass, train glass and stretching Shaq's Lambo ventures into
architectural glass-making

 

FOUNTAIN VALLEY, Calif. (Nov. 8, 2007) - From the makers of windshield
glass for trains, planes and automobiles, Gaffoglio Family
Metalcrafters, Inc. (GFMI) is expanding its production capabilities into
the architectural world. GFMI's low-volume glass fabrication will give
architects a stunning tool to create the most unique structures.

 

"We have established the foundation and the creativity for this exciting
endeavor," CEO George Gaffoglio says. "The idea is simple and a natural
transition for us. We have the resources and hope to execute our
projects with the assistance of innovative architects with unique
visions." 

 

Technology GFMI implements into producing glass includes such enormous
hi-tech machines as the Auto Clave, Bottero glass cutting and sanitizing
machines, Iauna Tempering Oven, Glass Robots Bending Oven. Within their
glass operations, GFMI constructs complex, curved laminated and tempered
glass which they have demonstrated through countless concept cars (and
its windows), including the Dodge Viper, FJ Cruiser and Dodge Demon.  

 

GFMI also developed windshield faceply for Global Express, Lear 45, S3A,
Embraer airplanes and are a subcontractor to PPG who holds a contract
with Boeing.  Additionally, they produce the landing light lenses for
GKN on the 737, 747,767 and 777 programs. 

 

Gaffoglio Family Metalcrafters, Inc. (GFMI) has been a leading builder
of concept cars for auto manufacturers for more than 28 years.  GFMI's
variety of divisions range from outfitting movie cars to creating
architectural and special aerospace glass to aluminum fabrications for
