First Edition Steering Systems Report Provides a Detailed Overview of the Market

DUBLIN, Ireland--Research and Markets (http://www.researchandmarkets.com/reports/c73553) has announced the addition of Steering Systems Report to their offering.

The steering systems industry is in the midst of evolution in 2007, not having yet achieved the consolidation that other segments of the automotive supply industry have achieved.

This first edition Steering Systems Report provides a detailed market overview including all the latest technological developments within the sector. Also covered are profiles of all the major players within the industry and a detailed company index.

The report identifies eight major external players in the supply of steering

systems: ZF Lenksysteme GmbH, TRW Automotive Holdings Corp., Delphi Corp., JTEKT Corp., ThyssenKrupp AG, Showa Corp., NSK Ltd. and Tedrive Holding B.V.

Of the eight, only ZF Lenksysteme concentrates on steering products, the others are business units within suppliers with a larger range of products. ZF Lenksysteme is a 50-50 joint-venture of ZF Friedrichshafen AG and Robert Bosch GmbH.

There has already been much recent concentration. JTEKT is a 2006 merger of Koyo Steering and Toyoda Machine Works. In early 2007, Visteon Corp. spun off its European steering and halfshaft unit to private investors, who operate as Tedrive Holding B.V. of Heerling, The Netherlands. In late 2007, both Delphi and ThyssenKrupp were actively trying to sell their steering units.

This special package also includes a 'Who Supplies Whom in Steering Systems' Database.
