Federal-Mogul Receives Finalist and Honorable Mention Accolades for Automotive News PACE™ Award

SOUTHFIELD, Mich.--Innovative technologies from Federal-Mogul Corporation (OTCBB:FDMLQ) have been selected as a finalist and honorable mention in the 2008 Automotive News PACE (Premier Automotive Suppliers Contributions to Excellence) Awards competition.

Considered the benchmark for innovation among suppliers of vehicle components and subsystems, the annual PACE Award honors organizations that have embraced innovation or reinvented themselves to meet the demands of original equipment manufacturers. Award winners will be announced in April 2008 in conjunction with the SAE World Congress in Detroit, Michigan.

Federal-Mogul's SureFire Ceramic Spark Plug Insulator was named a PACE Finalist. SureFire Ceramic, an aluminum oxide ceramic material used in the production of spark plug insulators, is a patented material providing extremely high electrical resistivity, resulting in a spark plug of exceptional long-term dielectric durability. SureFire was first introduced in the Champion® Iridium and Champion® Double Platinum Power spark plugs.

The Compact LED Interior "POD Lighting" received a PACE Honorable Mention. Federal-Moguls patented LED POD Lighting technology is the first compact LED light source that is moveable, rotational and directional, providing optimal light output with less distracting glare for the driver and passengers. POD Lighting was introduced with the launch of the 2006 Chrysler Aspen.

Federal-Mogul is focused on developing innovative, breakthrough technology that creates value for our global automotive customers, said Ramzi Hermiz, Federal-Mogul senior vice president, Aftermarket Products and Services. Our recurring recognition in this prestigious awards program demonstrates our commitment to providing world-class technology and product leadership. We are very proud to once again be recognized with this PACE Award nomination and honorable mention.

Federal-Mogul has received four previous Automotive News PACE Awards for the Goetze Diamond Coating® (GDC) Piston Rings (2007), High-Temperature Alloy (HTA) Exhaust Gaskets (2007), Monosteel® Piston (2006) and Wagner® ThermoQuiet® One-Piece Disc Brake Pad (2003); and three honorable mentions for LocatGuard 2700 (2007), FLAT-INSTALL Crankshaft Seal (2006) and LEM® (Liquid Elastomer Molded) Gasket (2006).
