Mike Bliss Texas Review

Optimistic Afternoon Curtailed by an Uncontrollable Circumstance

FT. WORTH, Tex., (November 3, 2007) - After surviving the Memphis melee last weekend with an honorable second place finish, Mike Bliss was ready to do it again in Texas. Bliss was still warming up the tires on the No.22 Supercuts Dodge when his running of the O’Reilly Challenge quickly came to an end. He was sent spinning into the wall by a wreckless-driving competitor, and the crew was unable to repair the damage.

“I hadn’t even started racing yet,” Mike Bliss reported after the race. “I was just working on getting the tire pressures right on the first few laps so I could get a good run going, when all of a sudden I get knocked out. It was disappointing because we had a great piece of equipment to work with, but hopefully we will have better luck in Phoenix.”

The team was optimistic going into the race after qualifying in the thirteenth position.

“We were satisfied with our starting position because we knew that once we got going we could easily work our way up into the top-ten,” crew chief Paul Wolfe stated. “It’s disappointing because I think that car would have been a solid competitor, and we were looking forward to what Bliss could do with it in the race.”

Although the Supercuts/Family Dollar Dodge had only completed three laps, they still remain in the top-ten in Owner Points. The Fitz Motorsports team will make their next outing with Mike Bliss in the Supercuts Dodge at the Phoenix International Raceway on November 10, 2007.
