Zoom Media & Marketing Wins Adweek Buzz Award

NEW YORK--Zoom Media & Marketing, a targeted out-of-home media and experiential marketing company, announced today that it won the 2007 AdweekMedia Buzz Award for Event Marketing. The recognition is one in a series of awards that the company has recently received for creative excellence.

The winning campaign, developed in conjunction with Omnicoms BBD&O, was for Jeep (a Chrysler LLC brand) during the 2007 Winter X Games. The focus of the event was Zooms Tag Shop which consisted of a two-level garage customized with Jeep graphics by graffiti artists. While listening to a live DJ, garage visitors worked with the artists to create custom designs in one-on-one sessions. Participants received their own name or catch phrase rendered in a cutting-edge tag design and had it placed on giveaway items including courier bags and posters. The event also included ski-equipment raffles as well as autograph signings by Winter X athletes.

The AdweekMedia Buzz Award is a terrific recognition and were thrilled the Tag Shop was recognized as a great event activation concept, said Patrick West, Vice President of Experiential Marketing at Zoom Media & Marketing. Our creative team had to work extremely fast to develop and implement the campaign but it clearly had a strong impact for Jeep and their target audience. West noted the program was so successful that Jeep has renewed the campaign for Winter X in 2008.

AdweekMedia's Buzz Awards were given at Nielsen Business Medias 2007 Next Big Idea Conference on October 30th. Neilsen is the parent company of Adweek, the weekly trade publication.
