Seven Chrysler Women Recognized as Technology All-Stars at the 12th Annual 'Women of Color' Technology Awards Conference

AUBURN HILLS, Mich., Nov. 5 -- Six Chrysler employees have been identified as Technology All-Stars, and one as a Technology Rising Star and have been recognized at the 12th annual Women of Color Technology Awards Conference in Atlanta, Ga., November 1-3, 2007. This is the 12th consecutive year that Chrysler has been recognized at the annual event. The awards were created to showcase the growing number of women who excel in the traditionally male-dominated fields of technology.
These are the seven accomplished women and their areas of responsibility: Technology All-Stars -- Linda Castaneda, Lead Program Manager - FWD Product Team -- Sohalia Feizy-Marandy, Engineering Supervisor - Jeep/Truck Engineering, Thermal Systems -- Jayanthi Iyengar, Senior Manager - Hybrid System Integration -- Toshiko Omonishi, Project Quality Manager - Peoplesoft Employee Support Processes -- Tabitha Robinson, Group Leader - Paint, Belvidere Assembly Plant -- Pamela Ruffin, Team Lead - Street & Racing Technology (SRT) Vehicle Synthesis Technology Rising Star -- Keisha Taylor, Chassis Production Planner - Belvidere Assembly Plant
"The recognition these remarkable women have received is impressive and deserving," said Nancy Rae, Chrysler Senior Vice President - Human Resources. "Chrysler is proud of the contributions this diverse group of women make to the company every day." The Women of Color Technology Awards Conference began in 1995 as a small, one-day symposium; the Conference now draws thousands of professionals each year as it supports and recognizes women of color in technology careers. The conference focuses on creating opportunities for women of multicultural backgrounds and has become a valuable resource for college students who attend as they meet the winners and learn how to begin building their careers.
