Regal Limousines Builds Custom Stretch for Physically Challenged

ATLANTIC CITY, N.J.--Regal Limousines & Car Service, a New Jersey-based premium car service, is introducing a new limousine to its extensive fleet. This vehicle will provide physically handicapped individuals with easy access to a stretch limousine, allowing them to travel in style and luxurious comfort. Designed by Guy Ninio at Sterling Access™ in Los Angeles, the new limousine makes its debut at the annual International Limo Digest Show 2007 in Atlantic City this week. This marks the first time a stretch limousine has been designed to specifically address the needs of the physically challenged. Its unique construction allows physically handicapped persons access to the luxury of limousine travel while preserving their independence and dignity. The limousine is currently available for hire through Regal Limousines & Car Service of Sayreville, New Jersey.

From its exterior, the limousine looks like any other luxury stretch. Due to a carefully concealed fifth door, a specially-designed seat allows physically handicapped passengers to easily and comfortably transfer from their wheelchair to the limousine’s seat. The seat rides on an innovative, industrial strength rail system, which has been tested to support weight in excess of 500 pounds. Through a smooth gliding process, passengers are carefully slid into the limousine. The seat is then safely and securely locked into place.

Once inside, passengers have access to all the amenities associated with a luxury limousine including the main control panel located above their heads. The customized limo provides two control panels – one above the handicapped seat and another at the rear of the car. This ensures that customers in the handicapped seat have complete access to all controls.
