Extended Deadline for North American Process Excellence Awards - Formerly Known as the Six Sigma Excellence Awards

LONDON, November 5 -- The application deadline for the Process Excellence Awards has just been extended by two weeks. Due to demand from regular entrants, the application deadline has been returned to the same week as the previous four years.

Competition may be tough with the new 2008 Awards Categories have already received a high level of entrees - "The new categories have increased the opportunities for new industries, companies and also individuals to enter and be recognised for their achievements to date. I'm particularly pleased that the DfSS awards has received a high number of entries as it reflects the development of the Lean Six Sigma & Process Improvement Summit which runs in conjunction with the Awards." said Vanessa Lovatt, US & Europe Event Director, IQPC.

The 2008 categories are:

- Master Black Belt Of The Year

- Deployment Leader Of The Year

PROGRAM AWARDS:

- Best Improvement Program

- Best Start Up Program

PROJECT AWARDS:

- Best Project Contributing To Innovation

- Best Design For Six Sigma Project

- Best Process Service And Transaction Process Improvement Project

- Best Manufacturing Process Improvement Project

- Best Fast Track Project

IQPC have also reported that attendee figures for the Summit are on target for growth in 2008 with delegates from all industries registering to hear from Jack Welch, former Chairman and CEO, GE, who will be keynoting at the Lean Six Sigma & Process Improvement Summit.
