Want Big Bargains? - Autumn Offers Big Discounts

Washington DC November 3, 2007; The AIADA newsletter reported that now is the best time of the year to buy an automobile, if you don't mind getting a model no one else wants, according to BusinessWeek.

The deals on certain 2007 models can amount to nearly 30% off the sticker price, according to auto shopping site Edmunds.com.

Many of the most heavily discounted cars also are models that were never popular with consumers. These include such also-rans as the Chrysler Aspen, Jeep Commander, and Isuzu Ascender. With the exception of Saab's line, no European models are offering heavy discounts.

No Toyota, Honda, or Nissan products are among the 20 most heavily discounted cars, either.

This isn't surprising, but it is one more indication of how Detroit's pricing strategies have been rejected by its top competitors. Click Here for BW's list of the 20 most discounted cars in America.
