Line eighth at Pomona
LAS VEGAS (November 3, 2007) – Jason Line, driver of the KB Racing
LLC-owned, Summit Racing Equipment Pro Stock Pontiac recorded a qualifying
time of 6.670 seconds to grab the No. 8 position on the final qualifying
ladder for the 43rd annual NHRA Auto Club Finals.
Reigning Pro Stock champion Line is now in a position to end the season on a
high-note and help Greg Anderson in his quest for the 2007 championship by
acting as a blocker for his teammate.
“Well I’m hoping that Greg doesn’t need any help, but I’m also hopeful that
I can help him if I get the opportunity,” said Line. “It’s good to qualify
in the top half (of the field). The car’s hasn’t made great runs but it’s
still running pretty fast. I think we’re in good shape for tomorrow. I
just have to drive well, that’s all.”
Line, from Mooresville, N.C, will begin his quest for his 14th career win
when eliminations get underway tomorrow. He will face V. Gaines during the
opening round of eliminations.
In 2007, he has one win (at Houston over Allen Johnson) in four final
rounds. He was runner-up at Phoenix, Chicago, and Sonoma. He will

(Calif.). He has finished runner-up twice, both at the season-ending Auto
Club Finals. In both 2006 and 2004, he was runner-up to his teammate Greg
Anderson.
ELIMINATIONS: Final eliminations for the Auto Club Finals begin for all
teams at 11 a.m. on Sun., Nov. 4. Elimination time is local Pomona, Calif.
time (PT) and subject to change.
TELEVISION: Qualifying highlights, Sunday’s eliminations, and NHRA Race Day
for the 43rd annual NHRA Auto Club Finals can be seen on ESPN2 and ESPN2 HD.
Qualifying: The qualifying show will be presented in two one-hour
shows. The first show will air early qualifying coverage from the event
beginning at 7 p.m. (ET) on ESPN2 and ESPN2HD, followed by a late show with
the conclusion of qualifying from historic Auto Club Raceway at Pomona from
11 p.m. – 12 midnight (ET) which will set the field for the final round
action on Sunday.

Eliminations: ESPN2 and ESPN2HD will air three-and-a-half hours of
final-round elimination coverage beginning at 7 p.m. (ET) on Sunday, Nov. 4,
2007. The expanded coverage will follow all the action from the season
finale where POWERade World Champions will be crowned as part of the
inaugural NHRA POWERade Countdown to the Championship. The elimination show
repeats on Friday morning from 4-6 a.m.

resides in Ypsilanti, Mich. Anderson won three consecutive POWERade Pro
Stock Championships (2003-2005) and finished second in the point standings
in 2006. Line, who finished second in points in his rookie season in 2004
and third in 2005, is the reigning 2006 POWERade Pro Stock Champion. Line
was honored with the 2004 Automobile Club of Southern California Road to the
Future Award, presented to the outstanding rookie in a professional
category. Will finished No. 10 in her rookie season in Top Fuel in 2006 and
was nominated for the Automobile Club of Southern California Road to the
Future Award. The Pro Stock shop of Anderson and Line is in Mooresville, N.
