ArvinMeritor Appoints Art Waldowski Vice President of Purchasing for Commercial Vehicle Systems
TROY, Mich., Nov. 1, 2007 -- ArvinMeritor's Commercial Vehicle Systems (CVS) business has announced the appointment of Art Waldowski as vice president of Purchasing, effective Nov. 1, 2007
Art will be responsible for leading the global purchasing team and implementing the worldwide procurement strategy for CVS. He will also focus on driving the Direct Material Optimization (DMO) program and strengthening and diversifying the supply base.
Art spent the past eight years with Valeo in Auburn Hills, Mich., most recently as the division director for North American Purchasing. Prior to that, he held various purchasing positions within ITT and GM. He has more than 20 years of purchasing experience in the automotive industry.
Art holds a bachelor's of science degree in Business Administration from Oakland University in Rochester, Michigan.
