ORBIT/FR's PowerCell Wireless Test System Used in a CTIA - Approved Test Laboratory (CATL)

HORSHAM, Pa., Nov. 1, 2007 -- ORBIT/FR, Inc. (BULLETIN BOARD: ORFR) , a leading producer of sophisticated, automated microwave test and measurement systems for the aerospace, defense, wireless communication, automotive and satellite industries, has recently finished a successful installation of its PowerCell wireless test system at IMST GmbH in Germany.

As a leading independent test house for network providers and equipment manufacturers in Europe, IMST joined an elite group of laboratories that have attained CTIA certification for Over-The-Air (CTIA-OTA) performance tests. IMST presented ORBIT/FR with a special challenge of realizing CTIA requirements in a relatively small measurement chamber. With a dielectric belt driven rotator (DBDR) and ActiveCell software, the supplied ORBIT/FR PowerCell system provides the ability to measure transmit and receive quality of cellular mobile devices.

IMST is now working with its partners on further development of the ORBIT/FR PowerCell measurement system, and the integration of new standards like 3GPP, WiMAX and MIMO technology.

"We are pleased that IMST achieved CTIA certification using an ORBIT/FR system. This demonstrates that ORBIT/FR equipment and software are capable of providing excellent quality measurements even in challenging circumstances. We expect to see more ORBIT/FR systems used in CATL's around the world," said Israel Adan, President & CEO of ORBIT/FR.
